1 Corinthians 16:8
Compare all
6 And it may be that I will remain, or even spend the winter with you, that you may asend me on my journey, wherever I go.
7 For I do not wish to see you now on the way; but I hope to stay a while with you, aif the Lord permits.
8 But I will tarry in Ephesus until aPentecost.
9 For aa great and effective door has opened to me, and bthere are many adversaries.
10 And aif Timothy comes, see that he may be with you without fear; for bhe does the work of the Lord, as I also do.

I will tarry at Ephesus - And it is very probable that he did so; and that all these journeys were taken as he himself had projected. See on I Corinthians 16:5 (note).
