Galatians 3:6

4 aHave you suffered so1 many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain?  
5 Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?—
6 just as Abraham a“believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”  
7 Therefore know that only athose who are of faith are sons of Abraham.  
8 And athe Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, b“In you all the nations shall be blessed.”  
9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.

Galatians 3:6

Doubtless in confirmation of that grand doctrine, that we are justified by faith, even as Abraham was. The Apostle, both in this and in the epistle to the Romans, makes great use of the instance of Abraham: the rather, because from Abraham the Jews drew their great argument, as they do this day, both for their own continuance in Judaism, and for denying the gentiles to be the church of God. Genesis 15:6
