even so, being affectionately desirous of you, we were well pleased to impart unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were become very dear to us.

So, being thus tenderly {and} affectionately desirous of you, we continued to share with you not only God's good news (the Gospel) but also our own lives as well, for you had become so very dear to us.

We cared so much for you, and you became so dear to us, that we were willing to give our lives for you when we gave you God's message.
