God’s Final Judgment and Glory

3 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other,
4 so that awe ourselves boast of you among the churches of God bfor your patience and faith cin all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure,  
5 which is amanifest evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, bfor which you also suffer;  
6 asince it is a righteous thing with God to repay with1 tribulation those who trouble you,  
7 and to give you who are troubled arest with us when bthe Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels,  
8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 aThese shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and bfrom the glory of His power,

And this is a cause of our mentioning you with pride among the churches (assemblies) of God for your steadfastness (your unflinching endurance and patience) and your firm faith in the midst of all the persecutions and crushing distresses {and} afflictions under which you are holding up.

That's why we brag about you to all of God's churches. We tell them how patient you are and how you keep on having faith, even though you are going through a lot of trouble and suffering.
