When he was in Rome (genomenov en Romh). Second aorist middle participle of ginomai (coming to Rome, happening in Rome).
He sought me diligently and found me (spoudaiwv ezhthsen me kai euren). Effective aorists both of them (first of zhtew, second of euriskw). He did it at the risk of his own life apparently.
