Hebrews 10:32
This was written to the Ephesian era of the church (Revelation 2:1-7), which lost its first love. But when the people were in the bloom of their first love, were they enthusiastic! They put everything into the relationship. They yielded themselves to God. They were obedient and submissive. They were in no way neglecting the relationship.
Yet, even though these people made such a great start, it was possible for their relationship with God to deteriorate. The evidence is in Revelation 2 and in the book of Hebrews. They allowed the relationship to degenerate through neglect.

What Does Hebrews 10:32 Mean?
Written to the Ephesian era of the church (Revelation 2:1-7), which had lost its first love. In the bloom of their first love, these people were enthusiastic, faithful, energetic, and zealous in pursuing God, the love of their life. They yielded themselves to God, obedient and submissive, neglecting nothing in the relationship. Because of their desire to remain faithful and loyal to Christ during the times they lived in, they endured great struggles with suffering, were made a spectacle and reproaches, went through tribulations, and became companions of those so treated. Yet, even after such a great start, their relationship with God could deteriorate. The evidence appears in Revelation 2 and Hebrews: they allowed the relationship to degenerate through neglect, drifting away.
