Hebrews 11:23
Excerpted from: Faith (Part Two)You know what the command was—that every male child born was to be put to death. Moses' parents were not afraid though. Moses' parents had faith. I think that we would have to say that Moses' spiritual roots were strong, to say the least. Now again the scripture does not directly say, but there must have been some sort of communication to his parents so that they could act in faith, because faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Something was communicated to them. If one is in ignorance regarding God's will then one cannot have faith because one has not heard God's Word and there is no substance then to what they believe. There is no foundation. There can be no real conviction that comes from the Word of God.
