Articles, Bible studies, and sermons that contain The First Epistle of Peter 3:3:
I Peter 3:1-4
Excerpted from: Displaying a Good Conscience: PolitenessGod's Word clearly states that men and women are both created in God's image and are equal. In marriage, each person has specific responsibilities. God will not save anyone He cannot rule.
Submission means to cooperate voluntarily with someone else out of love and respect for God and for that person. Ideally, submission is mutual.
So even when it is one-sided, it can still serve as a powerful witness that leads another to conversion. Jesus Christ submitted to death so that we could be saved; we may sometimes need to submit to difficult circumstances so that others will see Christ in us.
Our submission never asks us to disobey God or do what our conscience forbids. One-sided submission requires great strength, and we could not do it without the power of God's Spirit. God tests our character to strengthen our faith and obedience.
I Peter 3:1-12
Excerpted from: Proverbs 31 and the Wife of ChristBrethren, the virtuous, trustworthy wife of Christ, relying on the excellency and strength that only comes from God, will only be those who have already learned faithfully, have been following the preparation manual of the wife of Christ that God has set before us to do the work and build the character of the virtuous wife that only does good to complement, with an E and compliment with an I, Christ for eternity.
