Robertson's Word Pictures (NT)
And if the righteous is scarcely saved (kai ei o dikaiov moliv swzetai). First-class condition again with ei and present passive indicative of swzw. Quotation from Proverbs 11:31. See I Peter 3:12, I Peter 3:14; Matthew 5:20. But the Christian is not saved by his own righteousness (Philippians 3:9; Revelation 7:14). For moliv see Acts 14:18 and for asebhv (ungodly, without reverence) see Romans 4:5; II Peter 2:5.
Will appear (faneitai). Future middle of fainw, to show. For the question see Mark 10:24-26.
