1 John 1:10

1 John 1:10

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9 If we ^aconfess our sins, He is ^bfaithful and just to forgive us our sins and to ^ccleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we ^amake Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

John Wesley's Notes

<< 1 John 1:9

1 John 2:1 >>

Yet still we are to retain, even to our lives' end, a deep sense of our past sins. Still if we say, we have not sinned, we make him a liar - Who saith, all have sinned. And his word is not in us - We do not receive it; we give it no place in our hearts.
