3 John 1:6
Compare all
4 I have no greater ajoy than to hear that bmy children walk in truth.

Gaius Commended for Generosity

5 Beloved, you do faithfully whatever you do for the brethren1 and for strangers,
6 who have borne witness of your love before the church. If you send them forward on their journey in a manner worthy of God, you will do well,
7 because they went forth for His name’s sake, ataking nothing from the Gentiles.
8 We therefore ought to areceive such, that we may become fellow workers for the truth.

Diotrephes and Demetrius

9 I wrote to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves to have the preeminence among them, does not receive us.

3 John 1:6

Who have testified of thy love before the church - The congregation with whom I now reside. Whom if thou send forward on their journey - Supplied with what is needful. Thou shalt do well - How tenderly does the apostle enjoin this!
