It is not just that we serve a King but we are told that we are heirs with Him, joint heirs with Christ, as Paul said there in Galatians. Revelation 2:26 says we will be given power over the nations and we will rule with a rod of iron. That is something a king does. We have to learn it. We have to learn to do it right. Revelation 3:21 says we will sit with Christ on His throne as part of our reward. Revelation 5:10 tells us that we have been made kings and priests, or a kingdom of priests, and then the next line says, we will reign on the earth. And Revelation 20:4 and 6 say much the same thing. So we need to understand about kings and what kings do. Not just because we serve a King, but we will one day be kings.
