Leviticus 18:24-25
Excerpted from: The Sovereignty of God (Part 4)Now what these two verses do is bring together two factors: Sin—mankind's sin, and God's sovereignty. Now because the earth requires dominion (i.e., management) and that dominion is first of all given to mankind. Mankind is part of nature. Man is a natural creature, and the rest of creation shares in the way that mankind lives, and when mankind sins, nature is going to react to some extent. Why? Because God reacts! That is what it says in verse 25.
God is overruling and managing things from His position on high. "And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomits out her inhabitants." Now, what do you think God did? It is very easy to understand, that because of the sins of mankind, God "tweaks" the creation so that the land no longer brings forth its produce; the weather patterns change, they are altered; the rain does not fall; the area turns into a dustbowl; all kinds of bugs, insects—devourers, as the Bible calls them, spring up all over the place, and people can no longer live there because of their sins. God has overruled man and kicked him right off the land.
The way God puts it is as though the land is personified, as though it is a living, animate creature that violently rejects what is happening on itself, and kicks the people out. Do you think that is beginning to happen here? Well I do.
Leviticus 18:24-30

This is a judgment from God. He's punishing these people for their wicked practices, and the land itself helps God in getting rid of them.
This is scary, isn't it? But people do these detestable things, which in chapter 18 of Deuteronomy include spiritism, occultism, necromancing—all that type of stuff. The land is defiled. Not just the people are defiled, but the land itself becomes defiled, and it reacts and throws the inhabitants out by means of natural disasters, unproductiveness, famine, disease, war, and things of that nature. The land simply has it up to here, and throws the people out.
God's creation all works together. It's all based on living the righteous way of God. The land can only take so much before God uses it to punish the nation that does these things.
Leviticus 18:24-28
Excerpted from: Trumpets Means War!There is a principle found in Leviticus 18, which you probably heard said before, but I need to repeat it because it is important. The earlier parts of this chapter speak mostly of sexual perversions, although there are some portions on idolatry and human sacrifice. But, it is mostly sexual perversions found here that God forbids the Israelites to do.
God said that even if Israel, His chosen people, did these things, that He would allow the natural process of removal to take place—the land would vomit them out of it.
So, what we find here is that the land vomits the inhabitants out for their evil. This is one of the methods that God uses to make sure that sin does not spread either geographically or generationally—He does not want people to become so calloused to sin that they cannot repent.
