Leviticus 26:44

42 then I will ^aremember My covenant with Jacob, and My covenant with Isaac and My covenant with Abraham I will remember;
I will ^bremember the land.

43 ^aThe land also shall be left empty by them, and will enjoy its sabbaths while it lies desolate without them;
they will accept their guilt, because they ^bdespised My judgments and because their soul abhorred My statutes.

44 Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, ^aI will not cast them away, nor shall I abhor them, to utterly destroy them and break My covenant with them;
for I am the Lord their God.

45 But ^afor their sake I will remember the covenant of their ancestors, ^bwhom I brought out of the land of Egypt ^cin the sight of the nations, that I might be their God:
I am the Lord.’ ”

46 ^aThese are the statutes and judgments and laws which the Lord made between Himself and the children of Israel ^bon Mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.

Leviticus

LEVITICUS. So called from its treating of the laws relating to the ritual, the services, and sacrifices of the Jewish religion, the superintendence of which was entrusted to the Levitical priesthood. It is chiefly, however, the duties of the priests, "the sons of Aaron," which this book describes; and its claim to be the work of Moses is established by the following passages:— II Chronicles 30:16; Nehemiah 8:14; Jeremiah 7:22-23; Ezekiel 20:11 Matthew 8:4; Luke 2:22; John 8:5; Romans 10:4; Romans 13:9; II Corinthians 6:16; Galatians 3:12; I Peter 1:16.
