Articles, Bible studies, and sermons that contain The Fifth Book of Moses Called Deuteronomy 12:13:
Deuteronomy 12:12-14
Excerpted from: Does Doctrine Really Matter? (Part Six)God is talking about the building of His house wherein He dwelt—the tabernacle. When the tabernacle was erected, then God inhabited it, and then they would bring the offerings to Him there, not out in some field right inside the border. They had to wait until God designated a place through the leader (probably Joshua) as to where that place was going to be.
Once they were in the land, they were forbidden to make the normal ceremonial offerings listed in Numbers 28 and Numbers 29 until the whole land had rest. Even then the regular sacrifices were limited to where the tabernacle was placed, and that would not occur until the land had rest. The length of time seems to be about seven years after Joshua 5.
