The eternal God is `thy' dwelling-place, And underneath are the everlasting arms. And he thrust out the enemy from before thee, And said, Destroy.

Amplified® Bible
The eternal God is your refuge {and} dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms; He drove the enemy before you {and} thrust them out, saying, Destroy!

Contemporary English Version
The eternal God is our hiding place; he carries us in his arms. When God tells you to destroy your enemies, he will make them run.

Darby English Version
[Thy] refuge is the God of old, And underneath are the eternal arms; And he shall drive out the enemy from before thee, And shall say, Destroy [them]!

God has always been your defense; his eternal arms are your support. He drove out your enemies as you advanced, and told you to destroy them all.
