Judges 9:10
Fig - tree - Gideon refused this honour, both for himself, and for his sons; and the sons of Gideon, whom Abimelech had slain, upon pretence of their affecting the kingdom, were as far from such thoughts as their father.
8 “Thea trees once went forth to anoint a king over them.
And they said to the olive tree,
b‘Reign over us!’
And they said to the olive tree,
b‘Reign over us!’
9 But the olive tree said to them,
‘Should I cease giving my oil,
aWith which they honor God and men,
And go to sway over trees?’
‘Should I cease giving my oil,

11 But the fig tree said to them,
‘Should I cease my sweetness and my good fruit,
And go to sway over trees?’
