10 aAnd the children of Israel cried out to the Lord, saying, “We have bsinned against You, because we have both forsaken our God and served the Baals!”  
11 So the Lord said to the children of Israel, “Did I not deliver you afrom the Egyptians and bfrom the Amorites and cfrom the people of Ammon and dfrom the Philistines?  
12 Also athe Sidonians band Amalekites and Maonites coppressed you; and you cried out to Me, and I delivered you from their hand.  
13 aYet you have forsaken Me and served other gods. Therefore I will deliver you no more.  
14 “Go and acry out to the gods which you have chosen; let them deliver you in your time of distress.”  
15 And the children of Israel said to the Lord, “We have sinned! aDo to us whatever seems best to You; only deliver us this day, we pray.”  
16 aSo they put away the foreign gods from among them and served the Lord. And bHis soul could no longer endure the misery of Israel.

Judges 10:12

The Zidonians - We do not read of any oppression of Israel, particularly, by the Zidonians. But many things were done, which are not recorded. The Maonites - Either first, those who lived in, or near the wilderness of Maon, in the south of Judah, I Samuel 23:25, I Samuel 25:2, whether Edomites or others. Or, secondly, the Mehunims, a people living near the Arabians, of whom, II Chronicles 26:7. For in the Hebrew, the letters of both names are the same, only the one is the singular, the other the plural number.
