And the boys grew. And Esau was a skilful hunter, a man of the field. And Jacob was a quiet man, dwelling in tents.

When the boys grew up, Esau was a cunning {and} skilled hunter, a man of the outdoors; but Jacob was a plain {and} quiet man, dwelling in tents.

As Jacob and Esau grew older, Esau liked the outdoors and became a good hunter, while Jacob settled down and became a shepherd.
