The meaning of Elasah in the Bible
(From Easton's Bible Dictionary)God made.
One of the descendants of Judah, of the family of Hezron (I Chronicles 2:39, "Eleasah"). A descendant of king Saul (I Chronicles 8:37; 9:43). The son of Shaphan, one of the two who were sent by Zedekiah to Nebuchadnezzar, and also took charge of Jeremiah's letter to the captives in Babylon (Jeremiah 29:3).
