The meaning of Hara in the Bible
(From Easton's Bible Dictionary)
mountainous land, a province of Assyria (I Chronicles 5:26), between the Tigris and the Euphrates, along the banks of the Khabur, to which some of the Israelite captives were carried. It has not been identified. Some think the word a variation of Haran.
