The meaning of Uriel in the Bible
(From Easton's Bible Dictionary)

God is my light.

  • A Levite of the family of Kohath (I Chronicles 6:24).

  • The chief of the Kohathites at the time when the ark was brought up to Jerusalem (I Chronicles 15:5,11).

  • The father of Michaiah, one of Rehoboam's wives, and mother of Abijah (II Chronicles 13:2).
