The meaning of Uz, The land of in the Bible
(From Easton's Bible Dictionary)where Job lived (1:1; Jeremiah 25:20; Lamentations 4:21), probably somewhere to the east or south-east of Palestine and north of Edom. It is mentioned in Scripture only in these three passages.
