The meaning of Berechiah in the Bible

Son of Shimea, and father of Asaph the musician (I Chronicles 6:39; 15:17). One of the seven Ephraimite chieftains, son of Meshillemoth (II Chronicles 28:12). The fourth of the five sons of Zerubbabel, of the royal family of Judah (I Chronicles 3:20). The father of the prophet (Zechariah 1:1,7).
