The meaning of Abda in the Bible
(From Easton's Bible Dictionary)servant.
The father of Adoniram, whom Solomon set over the tribute (I Kings 4:6); i.e., the forced labour (RSV, "levy"). A Levite of the family of Jeduthun (Nehemiah 11:17), also called Obadiah (I Chronicles 9:16).
