The meaning of Handbreadth in the Bible

hand'-bredth (Tephach, Tophach, I Kings 7:26; II Chronicles 4:5; Psalms 39:5; Exodus 25:25; Exodus 37:12; Ezekiel 40:5, Ezekiel 40:43; Ezekiel 43:13): A Hebrew linear measure containing 4 fingers, or digits, and equal to about 3 inches.
