The meaning of Hebron (2) in the Bible
(From International Standard Bible Encyclopedia)(chebhron, "league," "association"):
(1) The third son of Kohath, son of Levi (Exodus 6:18; Numbers 3:19, Numbers 3:27; I Chronicles 6:2, I Chronicles 6:18; I Chronicles 23:12, I Chronicles 23:19).
(2) A son of Mareshah and descendant of Caleb (I Chronicles 2:42-43).
