The meaning of Jechonias in the Bible
(From International Standard Bible Encyclopedia)
jek-o-ni'-as (Iechonias, the King James Version; Greek form of "Jechoniah," the Revised Version (British and American)):
(1) The altered form of Jehoiachin (Additions to Esther 11:4; Baruch 1:3,9; Matthew 1:11-12). The last but one of the kings of Judah.
(2) The son of Zeelus (1 Esdras 8:92), called "Shecaniah" in Ezra 10:2.
