The meaning of Malchi-shua in the Bible
(From International Standard Bible Encyclopedia)

mal-ki-shoo'-a (malkishua', "my king saves"): One of the sons of Saul (I Samuel 14:49; I Samuel 31:2, the King James Version "Melchishua"; I Chronicles 8:33; I Chronicles 9:39). He was slain by the Philistines with his brothers at the battle of Gilboa (I Chronicles 10:2; I Samuel 31:2).
