The meaning of Nekoda in the Bible
(From International Standard Bible Encyclopedia)
ne-ko'-da (neqodha'):
(1) Head of a family of Nethinim (Ezra 2:48; Nehemiah 7:50; compare 1 Esdras 5:31).
(2) Head of a family which failed to prove its Israelite descent (Ezra 2:60; Nehemiah 7:62; compare 1 Esdras 5:31,37). In the parallel verses of 1 Esdras the names are given thus: NOEBA and NEKODAN (which see).
