The meaning of Reelaiah in the Bible
(From International Standard Bible Encyclopedia)
re-el-a'-ya, re-el-i'-a (re'elyah): One of the 12 chiefs who returned with Zerubbabel (Ezra 2:2 parallel Nehemiah 7:7). In the passage in Neh. the name is Raamiah" (ra'amyah), and in 1 Esdras 5:8 "Resaias." Which is the original, it is almost impossible to decide; "Reelaiah" seems preferable.
