What the Bible says about El is Yah
(From Forerunner Commentary)

1 Kings 18:39

It is ironic that Elijah's name means "God is the LORD," and what the people said back to him was "The LORD is God," the reverse of his name. Instead of "El is Yah," they said "Yah is El! Yah is El!" Elijah's name itself was a witness of who the true God is.
