What the Bible says about Solomon's Relationship with God

1 Kings 11:9-11 These three verses reveal that idolatry came to dominate Solomon's relationship with God. Also, they lead into the story of Jeroboam. What Jeroboam did had something to do with the holy days and idolatry. Notice in verse 11 God says, "Because you have done this and have not kept My covenant and My statutes." The holy days are statutes. Could Solomon keep the holy days of God and worship Milcom and Chemosh? Would they not have holy days too? Something syncretistic was going on here. John W.
