Matthew 17:13 This verse indicates that the Jews in Jesus' day misunderstood Malachi 4:5-6, even as some of us have in our day. The Jews had many fanciful ideas, including that Elijah himself would be resurrected. This seemed to be the focus of their belief regarding Elijah and the fulfillment of Malachi 4:5. John W.
