Agape love, an immutable action and a self-sacrificing love, is the aspect of God's character that we have been charged to inculcate. Agape love focuses on giving rather than getting affection. We have been called into God's church to develop the outgoing agape love—patient, long-suffering, affectionate, self-less, optimistic, enduring, and above all, giving.
