Psalms 33:8
Compare all
6 aBy the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
And all the bhost of them cby the breath of His mouth.
7 aHe gathers the waters of the sea together1 as a heap;
He lays up the deep in storehouses.
8 Let all the earth fear the Lord;
Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
9 For aHe spoke, and it was done;
He commanded, and it stood fast.
10 aThe Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing;
He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect.
11 aThe counsel of the Lord stands forever,
The plans of His heart to all generations.
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
The people He has achosen as His own inheritance.
13 aThe Lord looks from heaven;
He sees all the sons of men.
14 From the place of His dwelling He looks
On all the inhabitants of the earth;
15 He1 fashions their hearts individually;
aHe considers all their works.
16 aNo king is saved by the multitude of an army;
A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.
17 aA horse is a1 vain hope for safety;
Neither shall it deliver any by its great strength.

Psalm 33:8-15

Remember that as we go through this season: "He fashions their hearts individually." God judges. He has not gone way off somewhere. He is working out His purpose and just because He is the Great God, He is not interested only in the big nations, He is not interested in only in the big things, rather He is also interested in little old you and me as well.

We make many plans, but only His counsel is going to stand. It is His judgment that counts, and it is very likely that He is going to bend and shape your plans to fit His purpose.

Remember Mr. Armstrong used to say, "God has a way of turning lemons into lemonade." God's judgment will stand. It is a vital lesson of this holy day season.
