Psalms 86:11
Compare all
9 All nations whom You have made
Shall come and worship before You, O Lord,
And shall glorify Your name.
10 For You are great, and ado wondrous things;
bYou alone are God.
11 aTeach me Your way, O Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
1Unite my heart to fear Your name.
12 I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart,
And I will glorify Your name forevermore.
13 For great is Your mercy toward me,
And You have delivered my soul from the depths of1 Sheol.
14 O God, the proud have risen against me,
And a mob of violent men have sought my life,
And have not set You before them.

Psalm 86:10-12

To fear Your name means to revere God, and heartfelt reverence means appreciating and honoring Him in every area of life. And we must show our loyalty to Him in every part of our bodies, not only when we go to church. If we revere God with our whole heart, our work, our relationships, finances, and desires will align with His will. Under God's new agreement, God's law is within us, it is no longer an external set of rules and principles.
