17 ^aI shall not die, but live,
And ^bdeclare the works of the Lord.

18 The Lord has ^achastened me severely,
But He has not given me over to death.

19 ^aOpen to me the gates of righteousness;
I will go through them,
And I will praise the Lord.

20 ^aThis is the gate of the Lord,
^bThrough which the righteous shall enter.

21 I will praise You,
For You have ^aanswered me,
And have become my salvation.

22 ^aThe stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief cornerstone.

Psalm 118:19-20

Are you beginning to pick things up? On through the water gates, certainly something that needed purified, symbolizing here, opening the gates to righteousness and the people were walking through and they picked up Psalm 112, and began singing toward this end.

Remember the water—where is righteousness coming from? It comes from a combination of God imputing it, as well as our use of His Holy Spirit in submission to Him, in obedience to Him.
