Exodus 21:18-19
Excerpted from: The Sixth CommandmentIn this first illustration, a dispute between two men resulted in one being injured to the extent that he was bed-ridden. Then he recovered enough to be able to walk about out-of-doors with the help of crutches or a cane. In this case, the one causing the injury must pay the injured person for his care and loss of income; a damage award; a liability charge against him.
