A piece of broiled fish (ixquov optou merov). Optov is a verbal from optaw, to cook, to roast, to broil. Common word, but only here in the N.T. The best old documents omit "and a honeycomb" (kai apo melissiou khriou).
Other Robertson's Word Pictures (NT) entries containing Luke 24:42:
Mark 16:14
Acts 1:3
Acts 1:4
Acts 10:41
