John 15:5

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye [are] the branches. He has already declared (John 15:1) that he is the True Vine, but he had not before declared that every disciple is a branch of the Vine. Observe that, not denominations, but church members, are the branches. The disciple, without Christ, "can do nothing". Paul declared, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13).
