Leviticus 4:13-21
Excerpted from: The Consequences of AffluenceNow, why seventy? What is the significance of the number 70? To offer a young bull was not an ordinary sacrifice. It was an unusual sacrifice, in a sense. Leviticus 4:13-21 tells us that, when Israel as a nation sinned and sought forgiveness, a young bull was offered at that time. Ordinary citizens could offer lambs, goats, and doves; but it was the priesthood who had to offer the bulls.
