1 Corinthians 15:31

I protest by that glorying in you (nh thn umeteran kauxhsin). No word for "I protest." Paul takes solemn oath by the use of nh (common in Attic) with the accusative. Only here in N.T., but in LXX (Genesis 42:15 f.). For other solemn oaths by Paul see II Corinthians 1:18, II Corinthians 1:23; II Corinthians 11:10 f., II Corinthians 11:31; Romans 9:1. For kauxhsiv see on I Thessalonians 2:19. The possessive pronoun (umeteran) is objective as emhn in I Corinthians 11:24.

I die daily (kaq hmeran apoqnhskw). I am in daily peril of death (II Corinthians 4:11; II Corinthians 11:23; Romans 8:36).
