1 Peter 5:10

The God of all grace (o qeov thv xaritov). See I Peter 4:10 for poikilhv xaritov qeou (of the variegated grace of God).

In Christ (en Xristw). A Pauline phrase (II Corinthians 5:17-19), but Petrine also. For God's "calling" us (kalesav) see I Thessalonians 5:23 f.; I Corinthians 1:8 f.; Romans 8:29 f.

After that ye have suffered a little while (oligon paqontav). Second aorist active participle of pasxw, antecedent to the principal verbs which are future active (katartisei, to mend, Mark 1:19; Galatians 6:1, sthricei, for which see Luke 9:51; Luke 22:32, sqenwsei from sqenov and so far a apac legomenon like enisxuw according to Hesychius). For oligon see I Peter 1:6.
