3 John 1:13

I had (eixon). Imperfect active of exw, when I began to write (grayai, ingressive aorist active infinitive of grafw).

I am unwilling to write (ou qelw grafein). "I do not wish to go on writing them.

With ink and pen (dia melanov kai kalamou), "by means of (dia) black (ink) and reed (used as pen)." See II John 1:12 for melanov and Matthew 11:7 for kalamov, used for papyrus and parchment, as grafeion (a sharp stilus) for wax tablets.
