Revelation 3:19

Free rendering of Proverbs 3:12 (in Hebrews 12:6), but with ouv ean (indefinite relative plural) for on (definite relative singular), with filw instead of agapai and with the first person paideuw for paideuei (the Lord chastens, from paiv, child, training a child) and with elegxw (reprove) added.

Be zealous (zhleue). Present active imperative of zhleuw, in good sense (from zhlos, zew, to boil), in opposition to their lukewarmness, here only in N.T. (elsewhere zhlow), "keep on being zealous."

Repent (metanohson). Ingressive first aorist active imperative of metanoew.
