Numbers 16:1-3
They are accusing Moses of appointing himself. "You take too much upon yourself. We're just as good as you." Yet, that is not the issue. The issue is respect for God through the office He had appointed the man to.

Korah, Dathan, Abiram, and On accuse Moses of appointing himself: "You take too much upon yourself. We're just as good as you." Yet that is not the issue; the issue is respect for God through the office He had appointed Moses to. Their action resembles the leading men of a worldwide church marching up to the one in charge and demanding that he kowtow to their terms. Joshua and Caleb were not judged like the others, showing that God judges each person individually. This warns those today who go along with a church in trial, believing an evil report. Here judgment fell on the ministry's equivalent and on all who sympathized with their attack against Moses, which God regarded as an attack against Him.
