I Samuel 10:6-7
Excerpted from: 'I Will Pour Out My Spirit!'So the Spirit of God, or the Spirit of the Lord, refers to God's Spirit coming suddenly upon a person to empower them to serve His people. In Saul's case, this divine empowerment affirms his selection as king and publicly validates his new role. It does not make Saul a prophet but transforms him, equipping him with the necessary power to fulfill his responsibilities, not by erasing his identity, but by enabling him to take a new role.
