Urgent Prayer for the Restored Favor of God

To the Chief Musician. Set to “Lily of the Testimony.” A Michtam of David. For teaching. When he fought against Mesopotamia and Syria of Zobah, and Joab returned and killed twelve thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt.

1 O God, aYou have cast us off;
You have broken us down;
You have been displeased;
Oh, restore us again!
2 You have made the earth tremble;
You have broken it;
aHeal its breaches, for it is shaking.
3 aYou have shown Your people hard things;
bYou have made us drink the wine of1 confusion.
4 aYou have given a banner to those who fear You,
That it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah
5 aThat Your beloved may be delivered,
Save with Your right hand, and hear me.

Articles, Bible studies, and sermons that contain Psalms 60:1:

Psalm 60:1-4

The word here in the Hebrew is nes, and it means flag. Brethren, as we go through the hard things of this life in subject to the surprise attacks of Satan and his minions, we can be assured God in His truth will be the rallying point even during the time of chaos and confusion around us. We must learn the fear of God and live under the banner of truth of His Word within all the circumstances of our lives through Jesus Christ.
