Psalms 127:4
Compare all
2 It is vain for you to rise up early,
To sit up late,
To aeat the bread of sorrows;
For so He gives His beloved sleep.
3 Behold, achildren are a heritage from the Lord,
bThe fruit of the womb is a creward.
4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one’s youth.
5 aHappy is the man who has his quiver full of them;
bThey shall not be ashamed,
But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.

Psalms 127:4

Youth - These he prefers before other children, because they live longest with their parents, and to their comfort and support, whereas children born in old age seldom come to maturity before their parents death.
